School supplies, scholarships granted to needy students
Poor students and children of front-liners in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic are receiving school supplies under a program launched on October 5.
The program was jointly launched by the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Vanguard Children's Union, the Vietnamese Students’ Association and Thien Long Group JSC.

Scheduled to last from October 5 to December 31, the program will be carried out in cities and provinces that have imposed social distancing measures and been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It will also target children of workers in processing and industrial zones, informal workers, those who became jobless due to COVID-19, and ethnic minorities.
More than 8,000 sets of school supplies will be presented to elementary and secondary students, and hundreds of scholarships, each worth from VND 500,000 to 1 million (USD 43.86), will be granted to poor students.
