Addressing the event, Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and Head of the Vietnam Youth Federation, said that the program is part of the Summer Voluntary Youth Campaign 2022.
According to Luong, this year’s Red Flamboyant Voluntary Campaign draws the participation of Youth Union members and youths who are young teachers and students at high schools and vocational training centers. The campaign aims to promote the pioneer and voluntary spirit of youths in socio-economic development, new-style rural area and smart city building, and assurance of social welfare.
The campaign also creates an environment for the participants to practice, devote, and grow up, thereby building a generation of youths with nice living standard, bravery, knowledge, good health, and social skills, contributing to national construction and protection.
In his speech, Luong expressed his belief that each ‘Red Flamboyant Soldier’ will bring into play their pioneer, readiness, and enthusiasm to do practical and meaningful deeds and show their responsibility for the community, society.

At the event, the Youth Union Organization of Truong Dinh High School admitted 32 typical students to its organization. The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee granted 20 scholarships, worth VND 1 million each, to students with high results at national high school examinations and high prospects for passing the exams to universities and academies.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Youth Union Organization of Hanoi presented 20 scholarships, each worth VND 2 million, to ‘Red Flamboyant Soldiers’ with adversity in life.
In the framework of the festive day, a project entitled “Introducing traditional instruments to students at high schools in Hanoi,’ was launched. Other activities conducted were cleaning and decorating classrooms to welcome the new academic year, clearing advertisements along Tan Mai road, and disseminating information about limiting the use of plastics at Tan Mai market.
