Particularly, in September, the Ca Mau Gas Company, in association with Song Doc 2 Border Guard Flotilla, held a patrol along the PM3-Ca Mau Gas Pipeline. This regular activity has been conducted under a coordination regulation on ensuring the security and safety of gas projects and national sovereignty over the coastline signed between the Ca Mau provincial Border Guard Command and the PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation.
During the patrol, the mission updated fishermen on the position of underwater gas pipelines, regulations, and punishment for violations of security and safety of underwater gas pipelines. Local fishermen were encouraged to report incidents that occur at or near underwater gas pipelines to relevant authorities.
Throughout the month, the Trade Union and Youth Chapter of Petrovietnam Gas Southeast Transmission Company presented 30 scholarships, worth VND 500,000, to needy students of Hung Vuong Secondary School.
The company worked with the Youth Chapter of the PV Gas Services to hand over 40 gifts, including schoolbags and cash, to needy students of Long Son II Primary School and 100 books to the school’s library.
In the third quarter of this year, the Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial Border Guard Command and Petrovietnam Gas Southeast Transmission Company conducted a patrol to protect national sovereignty over seas and safety of underwater gas pipelines.
Apart from detecting vehicle violations, the patrol team organized information dissemination activities to raise fishermen’s awareness of protecting their health, underwater gas pipelines, and national sovereignty over seas and islands.

In Vung Tau city, the Border Post of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Border Gate, Nam Con Son Pipeline Company, and Petrovietnam Gas Southeast Transmission Company co-held a conference to review activities to protect the security and safety of gas pipelines and the Vietnam Law of the Sea.
At the event, delegates discussed issues relating to patrol and punishment of security and safety violations of gas pipelines.
