In order to address the issue, the district has implemented many methods in order to raise teaching and studying quality in local kindergartens.

Visiting a kindergarten in Mo De commune, Mu Cang Chai district, the People’s Army Newspaper reporter was surprised because there were some villagers helping the teachers to take care of the children. They are voluntary parents who come to support the school with the work.

The kindergarten has five rural and one main campuses. The furthest one is 10km from the main campus. The school had 34 teachers; however, it now has 27. According to its Principal Mrs. Le Hai Yen, in order to ease the lack of teachers, the school mobilizes volunteers to support the teachers. Accordingly, every day, parents will alternately come to help the teachers.

Meanwhile, a kindergarten in Che Tao commune was also facing the similar problem. According to its Vice Principal Mrs. Sung Thi Ru, the parents help share difficulties with the teachers. Besides, the parents also mobilize other parents to create favorable conditions for their children to go to school.

Almost all kindergartens in Mu Cang Chai district are facing the lack of teachers. To address the problem, the district’s Education and Training Department, in coordination with local authorities has conducted the “Mobilizing volunteers” model to help kindergarten teachers, contributing to reducing pressure on the local education sector.

However, this is only a temporary solution. In order to raise education and training quality, the district’s functional organizations should soon send additional teachers to schools.
