In Que Son district, Thinh presented ten gratitude houses to national contributors, 100 gifts to policy beneficiary families and poor households and 50 scholarships, each worth VND 1 million, to local needy students. She also handed over 10 computer sets, totally worth VND 330 million, to three local schools.
In Dien Ban town, the Vice State President gave needy locals five gratitude houses, 300 gifts and 50 scholarships.

The same day, in Duy Xuyen district, she gave gifts to 50 policy beneficiary families and poor households and handed over VND 450 million to the district People’s Committee to better care for needy people in the locality.
Also on July 18, more than 50 cadres and artists of the Army Cheo (Popular Opera) Theater entertained wounded soldiers being cared of at the Thuan Thanh Convalescent Center, Bac Ninh province with an artistic performance.
On the occasion, the theater presented gifts to the center’s staff and wounded soldiers.
The same day, the Submarine Convalescent Center and Brigade 189 of the Navy offered free health checkups and medicines as well as presented gifts to 50 typical policy beneficiaries in An Phu commune, Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province.
Meanwhile, the association for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Thai Nguyen province and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Fatherland Front Committee inaugurated and handed over a gratitude house to Vu Van Giap, an AO victim in Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district. The 120sqm house was constructed at a cost of VND 220 million.
Earlier, on July 17, the Quang Nam Provincial Military Command handed over the certificates recognizing 41 soldiers who had joined the resistance war against American invaders for national salvation as wounded soldiers.
