Accordingly, Lieutenant General Do Can, Deputy-Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, on July 16 visited and presented gifts to war wounded and sick soldiers at the Convalescent Center for sick and wounded soldiers in Duy Tien district, Ha Nam province and the Vietnam Friendship Village.
During the visit, he affirmed that over the past time, the Party and State have always focused on policy work and gratitude activities with many policies to pay tribute to those who made sacrifices to the nation. Many gratitude houses were also built and presented to their families, he added.

On this occasion, General Can, on behalf of the Ministry of National Defense’s leaders, presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers and children affected by exposed to Agent Orange at the Vietnam Friendship Village.
* A delegation from the General Department of Logistics and the Military hospital 87, led by Lieutenant General Le Van Hoang, the general department's Political Commissar inquired after, presented gifts and provided free health checkups and medicines to policy beneficiaries in Ba Cum Nam commune, Khanh Son district, Khanh Hoa province.
Accordingly, 20 gifts valued at over VND 20 million were handed over to policy households in the locality. In addition, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to national contributors at the Convalescent Center for national contributors in Khanh Hoa province.
* Youth Union of the Government's Cipher Board in coordination with Youth unions from the Offices of the Party Central Committee, President, and National Assembly held a program to pay tribute to national contributors at the Convalescent Center for sick and wounded soldiers in Duy Tien district, Ha Nam province.
The program also presented gifts to severely-wounded soldiers at the center, six Vietnamese heroic mothers, and two policy households; and organized an art exchange with the participation of nearly 50 local students.
* The Department of Politics under the Military Region 5 held a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over a gratitude house to Tran Ba’s family, an impoverished household in Que Loc commune, Nong Son district, Quang Nam province.
The house was built at a total cost of over VND 100 million, in which, VND 70 million came from the unit’s gratitude fund.
On this occasion, the military unit also visited and presented gift to Vietnamese heroic mother Nguyen Thi Ngot in Duy Son commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province, and 200 other gifts to poor households in Ga Ri commune, Tay Giang district, Quang Nam province.
*At the Dong Loc T-Junction national historical site, Youth and Women unions of the Ha Tinh provincial military Command worked with the Management Board of the Dong Loc T-Junction National Historical Monument to organize a ceremony to offer incense to 10 fallen female youth volunteers at the monument site.
This was a practical activity, contributing to paying tribute to national contributors who have sacrificed their lives for national independence and liberation.
