On June 10, the Party Committee, People’s Council and Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Duy Tien district, Ha Nam province organized a ceremony to receive the First-class Labor Order and a certificate recognizing the district as a new-style rural area in 2017.
Over the past years, the district’s Party Committee, authorities and people have brought into play the revolutionary heroic tradition, been unanimous in taking advantage of any potentials, internal strength, exerted all-out efforts to overcome challenges to achieve comprehensively all set targets and missions.

Accordingly, the district’s economic growth was high with an average of over 16 percent per year and last year, its per capita income reached VND 38.2 million while the poverty rate stayed at 3.03 percent. Attentively, 100 percent of communes in the district have met the standards for new rural areas.
* As of June 11, almost all military agencies and units have implemented comprehensively the emulation drive namely “Following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings - Vie for best awareness, best results in political mission implementation, and most effective activities.”
During the drive, the involved stakeholders have combined well the “Determination to Win” emulation with the patriotic emulation, the campaign of “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and lifestyle,” and implementation of the Central Party Committee's Resolution on Party building and revamping as well as the campaign of “Promoting tradition, devoting talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers.”
They also organized exchanges, seminars and ceremonies to honor outstanding role models and boost information dissemination on new models, elements and good examples.
* Similarly, Yen Bai province has carried out effectively emulation movements, such as “Building healthy and strong Party cells,” “Yen Bai joins hands in building new-style rural areas” and “Intensive farming and inter-cropping.”
The province has for the first time contributed to the State budget more than VND 2.5 trillion and has seen 36 communes meeting new-rural area building standards.
* At a ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s call for patriotic emulation held by Soc Trang province’s political organizations, the organizing panel of a writing contest on role models and good examples in patriotic emulation movements in the 2017-2018 period awarded writers with best articles.
* A two-day festival for the best youths in following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings was held by the Ho Chi Minh City’s Youth Union Organization. During the event, youths reported their achievements to President Ho Chi Minh, visited “red addresses,” historical relic sites, participated in seminars and exchanges as well as carried out meaningful social activities.
* According to a report delivered at a ceremony held by Cao Bang province to commemorate the same event, the provincial authorities pointed out their efforts in overcoming difficulties and challenges to gain important achievements, contributing to the nation’s revolutionary cause.
In the 2015-2017 period, the province’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 6.67 percent a year on average. In the first six months of this year, the GRDP is estimated to increase by 7.02%.
At the ceremony, 24 role models with outstanding outcomes in patriotic emulation movements were honored and three outstanding groups received the government’s emulation flags.
* Since the beginning of this year, the Air Defense-Air Force Service’s affiliates have boosted patriotic and “Determination to win” emulation movements. The service has also launched various emulation drives, such as “Youths of the Air Defense-Air Force Service be united, vanguard and creative to firmly defend the national airspace,” and “Continue to achieve more feats-of-arms and be united and determined to win.”
Implementing emulation movements, a number of groups and individuals have outstandingly achieved targets at work, in study, training and production.
