PANO - The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) started the seventh Whole-Army Olympiad on Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought in the Border Guard Academy on November 23rd.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Major General Ho Ba Vinh, Deputy Head of the Department of Information and Training under the General Department of Politics emphasized the contest’s aim of further improving the quality in lecturing and conducting research in social sciences and the humanities in military schools. It would be an opportunity for the participants to exchange experience on lecturing and studying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought.
During the five-day contests, twenty one teams from military schools will compete in categories such as Marxist-Leninist philosophy, Marxist-Leninist political economy, scientific socialism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), CPV’s revolutionary lines, understanding of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, mankind’s culture and civilization, the history of Vietnam and its culture, socio-economic and cultural achievements of Vietnam in the renewal process, as well as VPA’s tradition.
