A memorial service for remains of martyrs.

PANO - The Vietnam Martyr Families Support Association on June 5th handed over the results of DNA tests on the remains of martyrs to their families.

Addressing the event in Hanoi, the association’s Deputy President expressed deep gratitude to those who had sacrificed for national independence and freedom, and thanks to the martyrs search teams, units, and war veterans for their assistance in searching and identifying martyrs. He highlighted the significant role of the association in searching and bringing martyrs back to their hometown.

Besides providing information to tens of thousands of families so that they could find their relatives’ remains, the association has over past years built gratitude houses for martyrs’ needy relatives, presented gifts and scholarships to martyrs’ children and grandchildren with good academic results.

At present, the association is carrying out the State’s projects of finding and identifying remains of martyrs.
