PANO – The Thai Binh provincial Red Cross Society received 30 refurbished wheelchairs donated by a Japanese non-governmental organization on November 18th.
Accordingly, the Japanese Volunteers Group “To send wheelchairs to overseas children” presented 30 wheelchairs to the needy people with disabilities in the Northern province's Dong Hung district.
It is part of the group's program to deliver wheelchairs to those who are needy disabled people and Agent Orange/dioxin victims living across Vietnam to facilitate their travelling.
Envoy Nagai Katsuro from the Japanese Embassy to Vietnam held that the program contributes to heightening the Vietnam-Japan friendly relationship.
