On this occasion, President of the VYF Central Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan and his entourage visited and offered gifts to Vietnamese heroic mother Nguyen Thi Suong, aged 91, in Phu My commune, and presented 10 gifts to revolutionary contributors and needy households in Phu Vang district.
In addition, the VYF Central Committee handed over 20 gifts, worth VND 2 million each, to disadvantaged ethnic minority students in the locality, and built a gratitude house for the family of Le Huu Duc, a needy household in Phu Duong commune, Phu Vang district.
On the other hand, around 100 people in Phu Duong commune were provided with free health checkups and medicines by doctors of the Vietnam Young Doctors’ Association.
Launched in Quang Tri province on April 29, the “I love my Fatherland” journey is to promote patriotism and national pride among members of the VYF, educate them to pay tribute to fallen soldiers, who had sacrificed for the national independence and freedom, as well as encourage them to strive for the national construction and development cause.
