Hundreds of people with coronary artery disease diagnosed
PANO – Over 200 people received free health check-ups and consultations on coronary artery disease at the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital on October 27.
The program was offered by doctors and top specialists on coronary artery disease. Participants received advice on preliminary diagnosis of the diseases, treatment solutions for the disease and prevention of the coronary artery disease caused by atherosclerosis.

Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Huu Uoc, Head of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Center under the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital, stressed that coronary artery is a serious disease, which causes chronic angina pectoris or others complications such as heart failure and arrhythmia.
The disease is caused by a buildup of plaque in the coronary arteries. Currently, the disease can be diagnosed and treated more easily in its early stages thanks to the advantages of screening tests and diagnosis, he said.
