Foreign sailor saved at sea
PANO - The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center on August 19 received an emergency call from tanker BW NILE (Singapore).

Earlier, Indian crew-member Mohan Singh of the tanker had his shoulder dislocated while the ship was on its way from China to India. The sailor’s trauma was worsening and the tanker did not have enough medical equipment for adequate treatment.
After receiving the information, the Vietnamese center sent ship SAR 272 for a rescue mission.
At 11:30 on August 19, the Vietnamese ship approached the Singaporean tanker. The Vietnamese ship quickly took the victim on board for first aid. At 14:00 the same day, SAR 272 docked in Vung Tau, the patient was hospitalized for further treatment.
