PANO - Doctors of Ship SAR 412 of the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region 2 successfully rescued a troubled sailor at sea on December 2.

The troubled sailor given first aid on board Ship SAR 412

Previously, Chinese sailor Wang Xiaogang suffered a severe bellyache when his ship UNICORN BRAVO was traveling across Quang Ngai waters during its voyage from Thailand to Hong Kong. The ship immediately sent a mayday signal to the mainland.

After receiving the information, the center instructed the Chinese ship to provide first aid for the troubled sailor and asked them to divert their ship from its course to Da Nang city. The center then sent Ship 412 to the scene.

As soon as the Vietnamese rescue ship reached the distressed Chinese ship, Vietnamese doctors gave emergency aid to the troubled sailor. The victim then was taken ashore for further treatment.
