A two-day festival for children with disabilities took place in the Hon Tam Island Tourism Site in Nha Trang Bay, in the central province of Khanh Hoa.

The festival, ended on May 29, was held in reponse to the annual Vietnam Action Month for Children, which was first launched in 2013.

As many as 650 children with disabilities, and 180 teachers from 35 centers for children with disabilities in 25 provinces and cities in the central, Central Highlands and southern regions joined the festival.

During the festival, children with disabilities took part in different activities including swimming, playing football, drawing, coloring plaster statues and singing. They also received health examinations.

Sets of presents, worth VND 30-50 million (USD 1,300-2,200), were given to children with disabilities centers joining the festival.
