Distressed crew-members rescued at sea
PANO – A cargo ship with 17 men on board was rescued in the East Sea (South China Sea), the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (Vietnam MRCC) announced on December 14.
Previously, the center received a mayday signal from Ship MING YUE 69 en route from China to Dong Nai province, Vietnam. The cargo ship suffered stability loss early on the morning of Dec 14 northeast of Van Phong Bay, and was in danger of capsize.

After receiving the information, the Vietnam MRCC sent Ship SAR 27-01 to the scene to collaborate with other ships to rescue the distressed crew-members.
All crew-members then were saved by Tug Boat Sea Boxer and taken ashore for further healthcare.
