Earlier, the troubled trawler was about to sink when fishing about six nautical miles off the East-Northeastern of Vung Tau. After receiving its mayday signal, the MRCC III ordered Ship SAR 272 for the rescue.
Fortunately, the crewmembers were saved by a fishing boat nearby before their trawler sank completely. They were taken to shore safely and then handed over to the Vung Tau Port Border Post.
Two among the distressed crewmembers had injuries and then were brought to Le Loi Hospital by the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Provincial Border Guard Command for further medical treatment.
