Distressed crewmember taken ashore
PANO - Ship SAR 412 from the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center successfully took ashore a distressed fisherman at 17:15 on April 13.

Earlier, at 9:53 on April 12, fisherman Cao Van Thanh (born in 1974) on trawler QB98156TS, captained by Nguyen Ngoc Lam from Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province, suddenly experienced convulsions, shortness of breath and blackout .
Due to hard weather conditions, captain Lam sent a mayday signal to the center, asking the center to help his troubled crewmember.
Upon receiving the information, the center instructed the trawler to return to the mainland and give first aid to the victim. He was initially diagnosed with a severe stroke.
Due to the fisherman’s critical health condition at this time, the center immediately assigned ship SAR 412 with a medical team from the Da Nang municipal Emergency Center to rush to the scene.
At 2:00 on April 13, the ship approached the trawler. The fisherman was taken ashore at 17:15 on the same day for further treatment.
