Harelip and cleft palate is one of the most common congenital anomaly of newborns in Vietnam. The rate of children born with harelip and cleft palate is 1 out of every 700. This not only affects the patients’ appearance, but also impacts their physical and psychological development.
The Operation Smile program is part of Amway’s global campaign for children, titled Amway One by One, aiming to give better lives for needy children. In 2015, Amway donated over VND 5.6 billion for the campaign in Vietnam to help more than 3,087 disadvantaged people nationwide, especially children.
