Campaign to raise people’s awareness of food safety
PANO – The Ministry of Industry and Trade launched a national campaign, “A million signatures for food safety”, on December 9 in Hanoi to raise the whole community’s awareness of food safety.
Addressing the event, the Ministry’s representative affirmed that they will continue their activities to ensure food safety as well as work with other ministries and agencies to inspect food safety conditions in factories, markets and supermarkets. In addition, the unit will also foster information dissemination to raise factories’ and distributors’ awareness and responsibilities to understand and obey all regulations on food safety.
At the ceremony, hundreds of participants signed a commitment to act proactively for food safety. The organizers also launched a website: www.antoanthucphamhd.vn and a fanpage to attract more people to join the campaign by contributing their electronic signatures.
Dang Ngoc Thu, Editor-in-Chief of the Industry and Trade Journal, said that after the launch, the organizers will organize various activities to further attract the participation of people across the country.
