Border guards save distressed sailors
PANO – Soldiers of the Border Post in the Cua Lo-Ben Thuy Port under the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command on October 30 successfully rescued 12 sailors from calamity.

Earlier, the freighter ship “Hong Anh 69” of the Hong Gia Trading Services Co. Ltd. had sunk due to high waves and strong winds about five nautical miles off Nghe An coast while transporting 4,600 tons of coal to Cua Lo Port (Nghe An).
Receiving the mayday signal, the post sent a rescue team in close coordination with other involved agencies and forces to the scene.
It took the rescuers two hours to find and carry on board all of the affected crewmen.
