Earlier, ship Phuong Nam 68 of Phuong Nam Co., Ltd. (Hai Phong city) with 15 crew-members on board was about to sink due to leakages in its desk while sailing from the Philippines to Hai Phong.
Upon receiving the mayday signal, the Vietnam MRCC instructed the sailors on board to fix the problem and immediately sent ship SAR-411 for a rescue mission.
In addition, the center also coordinated with the Maritime Administration of Hai Phong city to mobilize the vehicles operating near the area to join the rescue mission.
