Bach Mai Field Hospital in Ha Nam ready to take in COVID-19 patients
PANO - Bach Mai Hospital’s Director Nguyen Quang Tuan announced on May 1 that the hospital has built its second field hospital in Ha Nam province to diagnose and treat possible COVID-19 cases if the pandemic in the province develops complicatedly.

Tuan said amid the complicated development of the pandemic in Ha Nam province and localities across the nation, the Hanoi-based hospital sent three working missions with more than 100 members to conduct survey to build a field hospital in Phu Ly city of Ha Nam province.
Thanks to the experience in building field hospitals in Quang Nam, Da Nang, and Hai Duong provinces, Bach Mai Hospital could set up the second field hospital in Ha Nam province after 24 hours. Beds, medical equipment, and facilities have been quickly installed. Its testing system is now ready to test around 10,000 samples a day.

According to the provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control, 333 F1 cases, which had close contact with COVID-19 cases in the province, have been put under quarantine in the provincial Medical College. Relevant forces are cooperating to trace other F1 cases to put them under quarantine.
As planned, F1 cases, who are children, elderly people, and sick people, will be moved to the field hospital.
