Ho Cha, a village patriarch in the Central Province of Quang Tri, has donated more than 3,000 sq.m. of land, which has been being used to grow coffee and fruit trees, to build a school for local children.
The old man, living at Xong hamlet, Ta Nua village, Thanh commune, Huong Hoa district, did so with a hope that more local children will have an opportunity to go to school.
At present, local pupils in the hamlet have to travel several kilometers across a forest road to go to school.
Earlier, Dang Van An, a 54 year old man in Tam Hiep hamlet, Cam Thuy Commune, Cam Lo district, donated 700 sq.m. of land to build a kindergarten for local children.
