One hundred Vietnamese youths will take part in the Viet Nam-China Youth Friendship Meeting 2006, scheduled to take place in China from Nov. 1-11.

During the 10-day friendship meeting programme, young people from Viet Nam and China will exchange experiences in building youth unions and associations in the private and foreign investment sectors as well as in ideological education for young people in the globalisation process.

The two sides will hold meetings to promote relations among young entrepreneurs of the two countries and young people in border provinces of Viet Nam and China. Similar meetings will also be held between Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai and Ha Noi and Beijing. In the near future, Thua Thien-Hue and Nghe An provinces and Hai Phong city will establish twin-city status with China's Zhejiang and Henan provinces and Shezhen city.

The participants will visit a number of educational and production establishments including places of interest in Guangxi, Sichuan and Beijing.

The annual the two countries have held Viet Nam-China Youth Friendship Meeting since 2000. The programme aims to boost cooperation between the youth of Viet Nam and China and to improve two peoples' mutual understanding.
