PANO – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Ministry of Education and Training, in association with the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union’s Central Committee, on March 23rd launched a painting and photo contest, titled “A Beauty of Daily Life”, for students at the Hanoi University of Culture.

According to MCST's Deputy Minister Vuong Duy Bien, the contest, reflecting compassionate behavior in school and public areas, aims to foster humanitarian values of truth, goodness and beauty among youths, as well as contributes to raising awareness and cultural behavior in the community. The contest also helps discover talented students and create incentives for them to pursue their passions.

Contestants, aged from 15-25, should send their paintings and photos to the official website of the organizing panel before September 20th.

In the painting category, the panel accepts all works in oil painting, lacquer, pastel, and watercolor, while in the photo category, the works must be original and be either 30x40cm or 30x45cm.

As many as 50 awards worth VND 215 million will be given to the winners and two special awards for works selected through the internet.

As scheduled, the exhibition inauguration and award ceremony for the contest will be held on the occasion of Vietnam’s Teacher Day (November 20th).
