PANO – The Association for the Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans (ASVHO) (Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs - MoLISA) on March 24th held a press conference to announce a national meeting to honour outstanding people with disabilities, orphans with good ecademic results and donors in response to the national Day of Vietnamese Persons with Disabilities (April 18th).

Addressing the conference, ASVHO Chairman Nguyen Dinh Lieu said that the 5th meeting, scheduled on April 8th at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi, aims to honour disabled people and orphans with outstanding results, and to recognize sponsors’ contributions to the community.
The event, held every three years, is expected to draw the participation of 388 delegates from 63 provinces and cities nationwide, including 212 people with disabilities, 83 orphans and 93 sponsors.
Within the meeting’s framework, the 13th “One Heart - One World” charity art exchange calling for more support for these disadvantaged people to integrate into the community, will air on Vietnam Television's VTV2 on April 7th.
