Ho Chi Minh City’s Spring Flower Festival 2014 attracted over 1 million visitors from January 25 to February 5, a local newspaper reports.
Over 700 artisans and horticulturalists from the city, Dak Lak, An Giang, Kien Giang, Tien Giang, Can Tho, Tay Ninh, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa and Da Lat showcased their works at the event, according to the Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper’s English edition.
This year’s festival featured over 6,000 ornamental plants, bonsai, rock gardens, dried trees, grafted stones, cacti, fish and various rare flowers.
The event’s organiser, the municipal People’s Committee, awarded 334 prizes to best art works.
The festival is an annual event attracting foreign and domestic tourists to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
