Activities held to mark Vietnamese Teachers' Day nationwide

PANO - On November 18, Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh received outstanding teachers and education managers across the country in Hanoi on the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20).

At the event, Vice President Thinh extended her congratulations to teachers and education management staff nationwide on the day, and expressed her deep gratitude for their contributions to the national education cause. She hoped that all teachers would continue overcoming difficulties to provide knowledge and good moral lessons for students in the future.

The same day, the Ministry of Education and Training held a gathering for and presenting certificates of merit to outstanding teachers.

* The Political Academy gathered its teachers of generations on November 18 on the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers' Day, in the presence of Lieutenant General Do Can, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics.

At the event, delegates recalled their traditions and achievements in the past, contributing to fulfilling the academy's assigned tasks and providing well-trained political officers for the army. The quantity and quality of instructors have increasingly improved in recent years, making great contribution to building a regular and modern school.

* The Air Defense and Air Force Service held a get-together for its outstanding teachers on November 18 in the presence of its commander, Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh.

Over the last academic year, instructors of the service's schools have completed all training contents and programs by a variety of new teaching methods and upgraded equipment.

Apart from their teaching mission, the instructors also took part in scientific research with dozens of feasible and applicable ideas and initiatives.

At the event, the service's chain-of-command handed over certificates of merit to 20 outstanding instructors.

* Similar activities were also held at other military schools and in many localities nationwide to honor outstanding teachers and education managers on this occasion.
