Vietnamese people in Laos advised to observe local COVID-19 regulations
PANO - The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos issued a statement on April 5 recommending Vietnamese citizens who are living and studying in Laos to strictly observe local regulations on COVID-19 prevention.
Accordingly, the host country has completely closed all of its international border gates and not allowed any individuals to go through these border gates, except for trucks carrying goods and emergency cases from April 3-19.

The Lao government also closed all main and secondary border gates along the Vietnam-Laos borderline from March 19 to April 20.
The Vietnamese Government has temporarily halted cross-border activities at the main and secondary border gates and border trails in border areas with Laos from April 1.
Vietnamese citizens are unable to return home during this period, the embassy noted, asking them to observe regulations mandated by the Lao Government and localities on pandemic prevention and control.
