The embassy invited two Vietnamese chefs to Ankara for the opening event to show the guests how to make Vietnamese traditional foods – “pho bo” (beef noodle soup), “nem ran” (fried spring rolls) and “nem cuon” (fresh spring rolls).
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Turkey Tran Quang Tuyen said the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Turkey is an important event to conclude 2018, a year the two are celebrating the 40th year of their ties.
He also recalled big diplomatic events between Vietnam and Turkey this year, including the visit of Chairwoman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan to Turkey, the Turkey – Vietnam Business and Investment Forum in Istanbul and the Turkish fashion and cuisine week in Hanoi held by the Embassy of Turkey in October.
In addition, the event features cultural dance and music performances alongside an exhibition of photos capturing the beauty of Vietnamese nature and landscapes and a cuisine festival that offers a variety of Vietnamese traditional dishes.
