President of the Italy-Vietnam Friendship Association’s Veneto region chapter Renato Darsie said he wants to introduce more Vietnamese cultural values to Italians.

Trade Counselor at the Vietnamese Embassy Bui Vuong Anh spoke highly of activities held by the Italy-Vietnam Friendship Association and its Veneto region chapter to strengthen the two countries’ relations.

He informed participants of programs to be held in the time to come, especially in the fields of tourism in celebration of the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties (1973-2018).

The highlight of the event was a show featuring a collection of the “ao dai” made by designer Lan Huong.

Visitors were also offered a chance to watch performances by “I Flauti di San Marco” orchestra, and “cheo” (Vietnamese traditional popular opera) performances.

Other activities included exhibitions featuring lion – the mascot of Venice, Vietnamese toys such as kites, puppets and “to he” (toy figurines) aspired by dragon - Vietnam’s holy symbol, and a fair on Vietnam’s medicinal plants.
