According to local people, while digging grave to bury their deceased relative in Dong Lon hamlet, Trung Lap Thuong commune, they found a bag containing a set of remains, clothes, and a hammock of Vietnamese soldiers and reported it to local authorities.

After that, the People's Committee of Trung Lap Thuong commune started collecting information about the fallen. Despite the active support and information provided by veteran revolutionaries, relevant forces could not identify the remains. 

In realizing the directive of the Steering Committee 515 of Ho Chi Minh City, Steering Committee 24 of Cu Chi district worked with local authorities and people to collect and rebury the martyr in the War Martyrs’ Cemetery of Cu Chi district.
