Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army and deputy head of the steering board for the seminar, chaired the meeting.

At the event, Major General Nguyen Hoang Nhien, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Military History and member of the steering board, briefed delegates on the preparations for the seminar.

Reportedly, 80 reports will be delivered at the seminar. These include five briefings and 75 keynote reports from the military and civilian organs. By December 24, the organizers had received the documents of 62 speeches, supposedly well prepared and closely related to the seminar’s content. Also, these materials are invaluable, which will benefit the scientific research, and the information dissemination for troops and people.

Speaking at the meeting, General Nghia praised the efforts of the Vietnam Institute of Military History and relevant agencies for preparing for the seminar well and asked them to focus on the master plan, complete the preparations and further promote the seminar.

In addition, the Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics required relevant agencies to closely collaborate together and promptly report emerging issues to the steering board to ensure that the event will run smoothly.
