The news was informed at a press briefing held by the Ministry of National Defense and the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education on October 12 in Hanoi.
The seminar is to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the launch of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea (October 23, 1961 - 2021).
The Ho Chi Minh trail at sea symbolized the patriotism, iron will, and determination to liberate the South and unify the country of the entire Party, people and military.
It reflected the resilient revolutionary spirit, heroic tradition, creativeness and international solidarity of the three peoples of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia to fight the shared enemy.
The seminar is to reaffirm the timely policy of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh to deploy a military transport route, the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea, the good task performance of the Naval Service and relevant forces, as well as outstanding features of the Vietnamese military art.
Reportedly, the organizing panel of the seminar has received 86 presentations from defense leaders, historical witnesses, experts, and scientists. All are well-prepared, according to the assessment of the organizers.
Apart from the seminar, the participants will offer incense at the relic site of Wharf K15 in Van Huong ward, Do Son district and present gifts to policy beneficiaries in Hai Phong city.
