Seminar on Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea to be held in Hai Phong
PANO - A scientific seminar themed “Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea – historical feat and lessons for the national construction and defense cause,” will be held in Hai Phong city on October 19.
The news was released at a meeting of the steering board for the defense ministry-level scientific seminar under the chair of Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister.

Accordingly, the seminar will be a practical activity in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the launch of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea (October 23, 1961 - 2021). It will be organized online and connect 26 different locations nationwide. Apart from the seminar, the organizing panel will also hold other activities such as an incense offering ceremony at the relic site of Wharf K15 in Van Huong ward, Do Son district, Hai Phong city and presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries.
Speaking at the meeting, General Cuong applauded relevant units and agencies for their efforts, good preparation and collaboration. He stressed that after the seminar, the organizing panel should continue to enhance information dissemination to educate the whole people in general and military troops in particular about the revolutionary traditions, contributing to promoting the glorious traditions of the Vietnamese people and accelerating the national defense and construction cause.
The deputy defense minister required all relevant units to ensure absolute safety for the seminar, especially maintaining regulations and COVID-19 prevention and control.
