Huge bomb safely disposed of in Quang Binh
PANO - The engineers of the Military Commands of Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces, Golden West Humanitarian Foundation, and PeaceTrees Vietnam in Quang Binh jointly disposed of a huge bomb with a mobile bomb cutting system.
Earlier, the bomb was found by a local while digging soil in the Melaleuca forest in Hop Trung village, Quang Hop commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province, about 83 meters from the nearest house.

Within a radius of 400 meters from the bomb’s location, there are 55 households with 225 people.
On checking, engineers identified the bomb as an M117 bomb produced by the U.S. The bomb was 1.2m long and weighed 337kg.
