Earlier at 7:30 a.m the same day, the UXO detection team discovered a 230kg bomb with a diameter of nearly 0.35m and a length of about 1.5m in Yen Thanh ward, Uong Bi city while the team was working on the construction site of a riverside road stretching from Ha Long – Hai Phong expressway to Dong Trieu township.

The bomb is moved to a safer place.

Having detected the bomb, the team sent forces to blockade the scene and reported to functional agencies. After receiving the news, the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command sent its sappers to work with relevant units to conduct technical checks before moving the bomb to a safer place. 

At 10:30 a.m. the same day, forces successfully moved the bomb to a safe place while ensuring absolute safety.
