Exchanging with historical witnesses

The exchange was to recall heroic traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army during its national resistance war against foreign invaders and educate and nurture patriotism among students of the university.

Addressing the ceremony, Rector of the university Assoc. Prof., Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang, together with delegates and students, recalled the glorious feats-of-arms in the “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air” campaign which was carried out by the Vietnamese people and the Vietnam People’s Army for 12 days and nights .

Gifts presented to the university's students

In wartime, nearly 3,000 officials and students of the university postponed their task for the national liberation cause. They promoted their capabilities to master and exploit weapons and equipment, contributing to the ADAF’s victory.

With its 66 years of development, Mr. Thang hoped that all students of the university would preserve and uphold the traditions to follow the forefathers' footsteps.

During the exchange, two heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duc Soat and Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Phiet - historical witnesses, shared their memories about the heroic victory.
