An overview of the ceremony 

50 years ago, under the leadership of the party, a 45-day battle took place from September 15 to October 30, 1972.  During the battle, Ba To troops and people completely liberated Ba To district (Quang Ngai province). The victory held historical importance which contributed to the rebellion of Quang Ngai provincial people and Region 5, towards the great victory in the spring of 1975, reunifying the country.

Through the district’s defense and construction cause, it has received noble titles of the Party and State. Especially, 19 communes and townlets of Ba To district have been honored with the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces.

During the ceremony, the district also honorably received the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee granted the certificates of merit to seven collectives and 11 individuals of Ba To district for their outstanding achievements.
