More gifts being sent to policy beneficiaries
Accordingly, units sent delegations to visit and offer gifts to troops in action and those working in border areas and on islands, war veterans and sick soldiers under treatment at convalescent centers, and revolution contributors in different localities.

These activities encouraged troops to fulfill their assigned missions in 2017.

* From January 11 to 13, Military Region 5’s Command sent its delegations to visit and grant Tet gifts to its troops stationed in Quang Ngai and Quang Nam and veteran revolutionaries and revolution contributors at Quang Ngai province’s convalescent center.

* The Political Department of Army Corps 4, in association with Binh Phuoc provincial Youth Committee and C.T Group,  held an exchange for its troops, local youths and people in Bu Gia Map district. At the program, 100 gifts were presented to needy locals while 1,000 notebooks went to needy students. Furthermore, medical personnel from Military Hospital 4 of the corps’ Logistics Department provided  free health check-ups and medicines for  200 elder people, children, and needy people in the locality. 

* The Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee spent VND 3.5 billion from its “For those in need” Fund to  purchase  gifts for policy beneficiaries and needy people in mountainous, border, flood-hit areas and on islands. Needy workers and civil servants working in impoverished localities also benefited from the program. Furthermore, the committee also encouraged agencies, organizations, and individuals to promote social activities to help revolution contributors and needy residents have a comfortable Tet.

* Meanwhile, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities have granted Tet gifts to needy retired cadres, civil servants, and elders. The cities’ representatives also visited veteran revolutionaries, heroic Vietnamese mothers, revolution contributors, and outstanding citizens in the localities.

* Da Nang City also conducted similar social activities to help policy beneficiaries have a comfortable New Year.
