Viettel supports poor district in Quang Tri province
PANO - The military-run Telecommunications Corporation (Viettel) on October 21 announced a plan to support Dakrong district (Quang Tri province) for the period of 2017-2018.

Accordingly, Viettel committed to donating VND 17.65 billion to the district in response to Resolution 30a/2008/NQ-CP of the Government to achieve fast and sustainable poverty reduction in the above-mentioned period. Viettel will support local people in developing production and husbandry, healthcare and education, upgrading infrastructure and providing telecommunications-information technology solutions. Especially, Viettel will help 159 poor households build or rebuild their houses, present 200 breeding cows to needy families, support another 100 needy households to plant lemon grass to produce essential oils and also build a health station in Mo O commune.
Viettel and the People's Committee of Dakrong district on October 20 started the construction of the health station in Mo O commune at a total cost of VND 3.5 billion. This is the third commune health station built by Viettel in Darkrong district. Previously, the Group completed two health stations in the communes of Huong Hiep and Phu Thanh.
Since 2009, Viettel has supported three poor districts of Ba Thuoc, Muong Lat (Thanh Hoa province) and Dakrong (Quang Tri province) in accordance with Resolution 30a/2008/NQ-CP of the Government at a total combined cost of VND 156.4 billion.
