At the event, more than 400 gift packages, including VND 300,000 in cash, ten kg of rice, and ten face masks each, were handed over to fishermen in Quang Ngai province’s Binh Son district and Quang Nam province’s Nui Thanh district.
Major General Doan Bao Quyet, Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard, said that by embracing the Government’s spirit of “fighting the epidemic is like fighting an enemy,” coast guard units have strictly exercised COVID-19 prevention and control regulations as instructed by the Party, State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense.
In addition, the Vietnam Coast Guard has effectively carried out mass mobilization activities and helped local people overcome difficulties caused by the pandemic. The force visited and presented gifts to needy fishermen in Hai Phong city, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, and Binh Thuan provinces.
The activity demonstrated coast guard troops’ care for fishermen across the country in general and the 800 households in the four localities in particular.
