Units join hands to fight COVID-19 pandemic
PANO – Numerous units and agencies continued to assist the COVID-19 prevention and control in Central and Southern localities on September 27.
* The Standing Board of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City received another 10 tons of rice from the Naval Region 1 Command on September 27.

At the handover ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Pham Minh Tuan expressed his thanks for the sentiment of troops of Naval Region 1 and affirmed that the gifts will help encourage locals to overcome hardships and defeat the pandemic.
Previously, on September 14, Naval Region 1 transported 10 tons of rice to Ho Chi Minh City and handed over to the pandemic-hit people.
* The same day, Defense-Economic Group 778 of Military Region 7 handed over six tons of vegetables to a number of hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City such as the Field Hospital for COVID-19 Treatment No.5B in Binh Duong province, and Military Hospital 7A and the Eastern Military-Civilian Hospital under Military Region 7.
Senior Colonel Nguyen Duy Khuong, Political Commissar of Defense-Economic Group 778 held that the vegetables were planted by the unit’s troops and local farmers. The gifts showed responsibilities and sentiment of the unit’s troops to help local people and forces to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
