Troops help extinguish forest fire in Quang Ninh
PANO – Troops from the Ha Long City’s Military Command, in collaboration with local firefighters, extinguished a forest fire in Hung Thang ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, on January 4.
Reportedly, at 5:30 of the same day, after receiving the information, the Ha Long City’s Military Command sent 40 troops, in coordination with over 100 militiamen and local people in Hung Thang ward, and relevant forces to the scene to put out the fire.

At about 10:00, the fire was finally under control. It was estimated that four hectares of pine forest were burned.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Earlier, at 16:00 to 20:00 on January 3, relevant forces also extinguished another forest fire in the same area.
