Earlier, on December 31, 2021, the delegation installed and tested the solar system including two solar panels, two batteries, and a power supply.

After a trial run, the system generates 3 KW per day, which is enough to serve basic electricity needs such as lighting, cooking, and operation of TVs, fans and refrigerators.

On this occasion, the delegation also offered some necessities to the border troops. The border station is located on the large Doi Moi Island (in Tien Hai commune, Ha Tien city, Kien Giang), about 20km from Hon Doc Island by sea, with no fresh water and no electricity.

The installation of the solar energy system as well as the necessities helps improve the troops’ spiritual and material life and working conditions.
