Members of the Women’s Union organization of the Quang Tri provincial Military Command presenting gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Le Thi Mot

In particular, a mission of servicewomen of the provincial military command has visited, inquired after, and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese Mothers Nguyen Thi Nay in Phong Binh commune and Le Thi Mot in Gio Son commune. On the occasion, the delegation offered gifts and decided to take care of heroic Vietnamese Mother Bui Thi Xiec in Cua Tung townlet, Vinh Linh district.

During the visit, President of the Women’s Union organization of the provincial Military Command Non-commissioned Major Tran Thi Ha expressed deep gratitude to heroic Vietnamese mothers who had made great contribution and sacrifices to the national liberation and reunification cause. She hoped that the mothers would stay healthy and to be firm spiritual support and examples for their children and grandchildren as well as young generations to learn and follow.

On the occasion, the delegation organized various activities to encourage recruits of Regiment 842 and personnel of the province’s standing militia squadron.

The province’s servicewomen then released lanterns on the Thach Han river and organized the “Porridge of love” program at the Quang Tri General Hospital.

These practical activities demonstrated female servicewomen’s gratitude to those rendering good service to the national construction and defense cause. The activities were also to encourage troops of the province’s armed forces to overcome difficulties to fulfill all assigned missions.
