Promotion of military-civilian medical program
PANO - The Ministry of Health, in association with the Ministry of National Defense, on September 13 held a mid-term conference reviewing the military-civilian medical program under the national health-population target program in the 2016-2020 period.
Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Defense Minister, and Deputy Health Minister Pham Le Tuan co-chaired the conference.

According to reports and opinions at the conference, since 2016, the project has achieved important results, including establishing military-civilian medical departments at the ministerial and provincial levels, and medical centers in the island districts of Bach Long Vy, Con Co, Ly Son, Phu Quy, Con Dao, Co To, Tho Chu, as well as organizing medical teams in response to emergency situations.
Speaking at the event, Gen. Don praised the results in the military-civilian medical program over the past years, and hoped that in the coming time, military and civilian agencies and units will continue to overcome difficulties and complete all assigned tasks, bringing the program to a new height and obtaining more outstanding achievements in carrying for people and troops' health.
