Border Guard helps needy people in border areas
PANO – In response to “Houses for people in border areas” launched by the Party Committee and the Command of Border Guard, over the past 5 years, units under the command have raised funds to build more than 7,000 houses and 272 civil facilities, worth nearly VND 300 billion for poor people and disadvantaged localities in border areas.

Additionally, the command, in association with the Vietnam Red Cross, implemented a “Cow Bank” project, granting 19,772 breeding cattle to poor people; and collaborated with the military-run Telecommunications Group (Viettel) to realize a the program “Breeding cattle for poor people in border areas,” offering 24,576 breeding cattle to needy households.
The activities have contributed to building politically stable border areas, promoting local production, socio-economic development, and mobilizing local people to actively participate in protecting national borderlines and markers.
