Border spring program held in Nghe An
PANO - An artistic program titled “Spring in border area - Tet of military-civilian sentiment” took place on January 11 in Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, Nghe An province.
The program was jointly held by the Military Youth Advisory Board, the Department of Political Affairs of Military Region 4, the Nghe An provincial Military Command, the provincial Youth Union Organization, the Que Phong district People’s Committee, and the Nghe An Radio and Television Station.
Accordingly, the event aimed to disseminate information and educate people on cultural traditions, solidarity, and close ties between the military and civilians; help local people in remote areas have a cozy lunar New Year 2023; and encourage troops to successfully accomplish assigned missions, contributing to consolidating the firm people's heart posture in protecting sovereignty and security in border areas.
The program was held in 350 remote and border, island locations with a focus on social warfare and gratitude activities.
The event also consisted of a series of activities, including providing free medical examination, medicine and health counseling for more than 300 policy beneficiaries, national contributors, and needy families; building two “Happy house” projects for needy people and a sports ground for youths; presenting 20 bicycles, 930 gift packages, 250 Chung cakes, and 1,000 warm clothes to policy beneficiaries, needy families, disadvantaged students, and armed forces’ units on duty in the district.
